so i learned about this in class...Detroit developed real rapidly and stuff in the 20th century because of the automobile industry and all. It was like the 4th most important city until the 50s; there were fancy neighborhoods with lots of people. Eventually, with riots- people left the city, factories closed. its lost more than half its population since the 50s. its sad, but these abandoned decrepit buildings look pretty amazing...
